Don't forget, retirees meetings are normally held on the 4th Thursday of the month starting at 1 pm, unless there is a holiday which may change the date (there are no meetings in June, July & August). There is a cost of $5.00 per person for food. For catering purposes, you must RSVP  no later than the Monday prior to the event. We do not want anyone to go without a meal that they paid for. Should you have any questions, you can call Robert Cebina President or Laura Cantrell Financial Treasure at 734-241-6320 ext 320 or 321.

We are in the process of updating our mailing list, please contact Laura Cantrell with your correct address if you have moved or do not receive your mail. You will be taken off the mailing list when the mailer comes back from the post office labeled undeliverable. This is being done to reduce the cost of our mailings. So if you want to continue to receive mail from the union, let Laura Cantrell know your correct address. If you are not volunteering to contribute to the retirees dues you may be taken off the mailing list. So take the time to pay your dues. It is only two dollars a month.

The Retirees Chapter is looking for members, such as yourself, to become an active part of this worthy organization. There is not much to it, it doesn't even require a large amount of time on your part.  If you are interested in volunteering your services to the Union and the Retirees Chapter, call Local 723's number at 734-241-6320 ext. 320.

As the current President of UAW Local 723, I encourage each retiree to voluntarily pay the $2.00 dues to the Retirees chapter. All you have to do is stop by the union hall and see Laura Cantrell, the Financial Secretary/Treasurer, and fill out a check off card.

We give thanks to those members who have chosen to retire during the month of May.

As a UAW retire take a moment to realize that the benefits that you are enjoying as a retire are the results of the UAW negotiating that benefits for you not Ford Motor Co.
